Happy Friday y’all! I’ve got several design jobs going so I thought I’d post one today. I live just outside of Nashville and am close to several big lakes. Homes on the water are my VERY favorite. Having spent my childhood summer’s on the lake, I know how different these plans need to function from normal homes. Most homes are made to center around the inside and the outdoor areas are made to bring the indoors out. On a home on a lake or beach, the inside must be an extension of the outdoors as the whole point of these homes is to be close to nature. Here’s a lake house study that I just finished. I love the navy and coral together and the easy living slip covered furniture.
Happy Monday ya’ll! Today, I thought I’d show you a design board that I recently completed for Jennifer. She won my last online design giveaway. Here are some pictures of her family room below. She has a beautiful room but said despite the rooms size, there is not enough comfortable seating. She has three kids so there’s always a small crowd (don’t I know it!).
And, here’s what I came up with.
I kept some golden hues in the design plan so that her new room will flow with the current colors in the rest of her home. Jennifer was willing to DIY so she is sewing drapes and pillow covers to get the most bang for her buck. I am still working with her on furniture. Working with Jennifer was great and she has a beautiful home that is going to look even more fantastic!
Yay!!! It’s Friday!! I hope you have a fun weekend planned! Today’s post is another one of my fabric coordinates posts! Putting together different patterns and colors of fabrics is soooooo much fun for me!! I love the way blues and greens look together! I am working on a clients inspiration board based on these colors.
You can find all fabrics here. Out of respect for my clients who pay me for this information, I am not listing individual links for this inspiration board. Are you loving the blue and green combo too?!
I hope you have a great weekend!!!!
My business is growing by leaps and bounds and I wanted to share the love with my sweet readers….so, each month starting in October, through the end of the year, I will be giving away an inspiration board to one lucky reader. You will get a completely put together room design with source list working with your budget. Here is an example of an inspiration board….(and more examples here)

Good luck and I can’t wait to see who the lucky winner is!!!
I am in the process of putting together an office space in my bonus room so that I will have somewhere to work on my designs away from all the household chores screaming my name. I had already made a bulletin board here but I thought I’d show you the overall look of the room pulled together. Here is my inspiration board. I painted the room while we didn’t have an internet connection this past weekend and sewed drapes and pillow covers while I was off work for 4 days last week.
We have a denim sectional that is staying in the bonus room so I based my coordinates around that sofa. I am loving how it is turning out and I can’t wait to show you! It’s shaping up great!
What do you think! I am loving the girly pops of pink in the bulletin board and desk chair fabric and I’m going to bring pink in wherever I can.
