In honor of the 2 days of rest after a hard work week…here’s some relaxing pictures of hammocks to gawk at. :)
Ahhhhhhh! Just gorgeous!
I need a little bit of beach sunshine right now….this has been a long winter and it’s been too long since I’ve been to my favorite place on earth!
This post is just for fun! Ever since I saw someone using a yolo board for the first time, I’ve wanted to try it. It would be even more fun on one of these gorgeous boards!
Do you think this surfboard gets soggy in milk?
Do you enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I do?
At long last, our kitchen, family and dining rooms are done and looking so much more peaceful and relaxing if I do say so myself.
Warning, this post contains a lot of pictures! There is a link to each project that is pictured. Just hover over the caption above the after picture and the link will show up underlined.

(This little wall shelf below was jet black but it was on clearance for $5 at Marshall’s, so I got my spray paint out and I think it works great now!)

I am really happy with how this all turned out! The space is much more relaxing and calm. With three (LOUD) kids, two flatulent pugs and a diva cat, I’ll take any calm I can get!
Speaking of the pugs, here is their contribution to the family room decor:
They even match my decor in their lovely sandy beige color…..yeah, I did that on purpose….I am that good. :)
FYI…the paint color used in all three connected rooms is Pottery Barn by Benjamin Moore. The color is Truffle and the two colors blended to get my accent color were Waverly Beach House, available at Lowes and Valspar Signature Colors in Seascape , also available at Lowes. I mixed equal parts of each accent paint to come up with the perfect color of sea green and blue….as close to this as I can get….
I hope you are able to take some ideas from these posts and make your home a more comfortable place to stay! Now on to my next project! More on that very soon!
Happy Decorating!!
