I posted a lake house mood board that I completed last week and this week I thought I’d post a coastal style family room. I love this style and it lends itself to easy going family living so well. I especially love the ship lap paneling that will be in the room!
Happy Friday y’all! I’ve got several design jobs going so I thought I’d post one today. I live just outside of Nashville and am close to several big lakes. Homes on the water are my VERY favorite. Having spent my childhood summer’s on the lake, I know how different these plans need to function from normal homes. Most homes are made to center around the inside and the outdoor areas are made to bring the indoors out. On a home on a lake or beach, the inside must be an extension of the outdoors as the whole point of these homes is to be close to nature. Here’s a lake house study that I just finished. I love the navy and coral together and the easy living slip covered furniture.
