What I’ve been reading lately

I am a huge book lover.  If only I had more time to read!  Whenever we go to the beach, I usually take 4-5 books and read one on the way down, 2 or 3 sitting on the beach and one on the way back and I have a whole library of magazines and books in the car to read while my husband is behind the wheel and I don’t have to drive.  I thought it would be fun to tell you what I’ve read or been reading lately.  If you follow me on Pinterest, then this may be old news as I try to put my current reads on my pin board.

The Business of Design by Keith Granet

I got this for Christmas and if you are a self employed designer, this one is a must read!

 

Entre-Leadership by Dave Ramsey

I came away with several good revelations from this book.

 

Guerilla Marketing by Jay Conrad Levinson

This one is a good read if you are new to marketing.

 

I finished the three above and I am in the middle of the three below….I am add with books…sometimes I’ll pick them up and get about halfway through and then start another one.  My goal is to finish the three below before I start another…although my list of “to read” books is continuously growing!

The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell (To my credit, I’m almost done with this one!)

 

Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv

(This book sums up why we are selling our house and moving back into the country better than anything I could write.  It’s a must read and for everyone who grew up out in nature, it’s very scary to see what a large portion of my generation and my children’s is missing!  If you have kids, you must read this!  I got this one from my local library and someone reserved it out from under me so I am going to have to re-check it out to finish!  Drat!)

 

Boundaries by Dr.’s Henry Cloud and John Townsend
